Dakota picture update

Our new puppy

So last week Saturday we got our puppy. Her name is Dakota she is a yellow lab. She is the cutest thing ever. So far she has been a really good puppy, considering she is left alone all day long. :( Today we went on our first walk and she did really good. I also gave her a bath but she really didn't like that at all. Here are some pictures of her. 

Other than that nothing new is really going on in our lives right now. I am taking a winter class which will be done next week, and then next semester I just have four more classes and then I will be done. 

Brad went hunting this weekend with the boys to Jawbone. So I am glad that I have Dakota to keep me company while he is gone. Next year he says he is going to take her along. We'll see about that one. :) 

Christmas Time

Hello everyone. Wow this holiday season is flying by just like every other year. I haven't posted in a while because our lives are pretty boring. Same ol stuff every week. Christmas is my favorite time of the year. I love how all the houses have lights up, and when you smell the fresh smell of a Christmas tree. I love getting the cards, and all the yummy goodies. 

We got our tree last weekend, and now all my decorations are up around the house. Last night we went on a boat in Huntington Harbour. It was so beautiful, and so much fun. Next weekend we will be going up north to Ripon for Christmas with the Douma side. Then I have a party with my friends which I am soooooooo excited about because we have not all been together since March. Christmas eve this year we will be with our immediate Struiksma family, and then Christmas day with my Prins family. After Christmas we will be going to Palm Springs for the Struiksma family Christmas. I know lots to keep track of, but it will all be a great time.

I am also so happy because I only have one more semester of school left. YEAH!!!! I will be graduating on May 28. So excited to finally be done with school, and move on with the next chapter of life.

One piece of exciting news is that I am getting a dog for Christmas. We decided to get a yellow lab pup. We will be getting her on Jan 10th. So I will definately post some pics when we get her.

Its Halloween Time!!!

Hello everyone, I haven't blogged in a while so I thought I would give a little update on our lives.

There is nothing really new going on. One exciting thing is that I will be graduating in May, and I am so excited to be done with school finally.

Last weekend we went to Pa's Pumpkin patch in Long Beach and we carved pumpkins with some of our friends. It was a lot of fun. Brad and his brother got a little carried away and took out the power tools. They were very serious about carving. What cheaters!

I am so looking forward to the holiday season this year. It will be the first for Brad and I together, and I am also excited to see family and friends that I haven't seen in a very long time. I am also excited to decorate our house for this time of year. I LOVE Christmas time! Well I'm not really sure what else to write about so I guess thats all for now.

How Great is our God!!

One night at my prayer group we watched this video clip. It just amazed me!!! So I decided that I would share it with you all. I hope you enjoy it and see just how GREAT our God is. It is so amazing. A good way to give back!

I heard about this website called www.freerice.com. Check it out. A word comes up and you have four choices of what the meaning would be. You pick one and if you get it right the company donates 20 grains of rice to children in poverty. What a simple thing we can do to help out children, and also let our vocabulary grow. Check it out.
